Co-Chair, Chiefs in Assembly - Assembly of First Nations

The Assembly of First Nations is the national organization representing First Nations citizens in Canada. As co-chair when the chiefs are in a collective assembly, Harold facilitates meetings twice per year. He has assisted the group to introduce new processes into their assembly, such as regional caucuses and designated strategy sessions to support the important work these gatherings are intended to address. Throughout his work, he designs facilitation approaches to allow greater input from constituents and to support strategic and actionable outcomes.

Harold also facilitated a series of dialogue sessions on treaty matters, leading to the creation of the first-ever National Strategy on Treaty Implementation for the Assembly of First Nations. This strategy takes a strong stand on advocacy and self-governance for First Nations and other Aboriginal peoples and encourages the full and respectful implementation of all treaties.
